Homeschooling: All Things

Kite Capers Download N Go Series

I have to admit this unit study, Kite Capers; Download N Go Series By Amanda Bennett could not be more user friendly for the teacher. Kite Capers has many resources for you to use such as books, as well as on line links to videos, which I love, poetry, worksheets, vocabulary etc. Some of the things your child will be learning about are The History of Kites, How a Kite Flies, Kite Safety, Kites Around the World, and along the way, there will be science discoveries, such as learning about the wind and clouds. Your student will also learn a bit of history and geography as he studies the different types of kites and the way kites are enjoyed around the world.

Amanda, as always has done her research on this project. Kite Capers, Download N Go Series is a one-week unit study, with just five daily lessons, which include a lapbook. I am the type of homeschooler who does not like to have a lot of preparation for unit studies and Amanda Bennet has done all the research and hard work for you and me.

The lapbook is all ready for you to print and cut out. It is in full color and ready for your child to add his or her thoughts and creations. You could use them in your traditional sense of a lapbook or use some or all the component in your notebooking. The activities are planned out one per day and this whole project is only 1 week long so you can have your child connecting the new found discoveries of Kite flying to the world around him as he flies his newly created kite he has made all on his own. You can pick up your copy for $7.95 at The Old Schoolhouse.
