It's time once again to file the Private School Affidavit (PSA) online between October 1-15 for us California Homeschoolers. The private school affidavit is now available online for filing at the CHEA web site.
I want to mention here that there are two new questions (41 & 42) on the form which ask questions in regards to immigration status and non-English speaking students. According CHEA they say, "These new questions apply only to private schools with six or more students. Thus, our recommendation at this time is that private schools (including homeschoolers) with five or fewer students should go ahead and file their affidavits as usual, ignoring questions 41 and 42, since these do not apply. For larger schools (schools with six or more students)"
According to CHEA , they are working together with HSLDA to make recommendations regarding these new line of questions. They are recommending that we wait to file until later this week when they will get back to us via email with more information in regards to that. And once again this is only for those who have more then 6 children. For those of us who have less, we can go ahead and file today. This is the affidavit form as well as instructions for how to fill them out. Please if you are new to filing, then read the instruction from top to bottom.
Good luck to you all!
