Homeschooling: All Things

2012-2013 School Year: Week #10

This was not the best of weeks. Both the kids were sick. But we did manage to get a few things done this week. We finished up learning about the New Kingdom of Egypt and spent some time reading abut King Tut and a few others from that time period. We also found some great death masks and colored those. One of the things we talked about was the Israelites as slaves. As you can see by the map, we learned exactly where the Red Sea is compared to Egypt and Canaan.

We also managed to get Bible done this week too. The reading of Joshua and the walls of Jericho. Of course we had to sing that song we all know from church…Joshua fought the battle of Jericho, Jericho, Jericho. Joshua fought the battle of Jericho and the walls came tumbling down.

The only other thing we completed this week was Geography. My daughter was really not feeling good at all so she did not complete her picture, but my sonsgeography picture…WOW! Can you tell just by the picture we studied coral reefs? He did a wonderful job.

Well, I know this is an extremely short post, but that is how the cookie crumbles sometimes. At least we had a few things we did and a few pictures to post. Next week will be probably just as short as this week becasue we are taking off a few days for the holidays. But I will at least post pictures of what we complete in school.
