    Good for you.
Go to the website for the laws for your state.
If your state is liberal in the laws, you can create your own curriculum by using the library and online reading and resources.

try the local Gateway in your area…they have to go there to take tests weekly but they give you the supplies..sometimes the drop out schools are required to supply curriculum until the next school year.

Good for you, protecting your son!
The first step is to find out your state’s laws at:http://www.hslda.org/laws/default.asp
Then you can start choosing a curriculum. Here is some information about traditional programs, as well as a list of popular providers:http://www.successful-homeschooling.com/…
There are many different ways to homeschool, depending on your child’s needs and learning style. Here’s a description of different homeschooling methods:http://www.successful-homeschooling.com/…
You may also want to find a local support group in your area. This will help your son have some positive social experience, and give you support and encouragement.
    Good luck!

I am so sorry about your son’s experience.
In order to homeschool, you need to first know the law. Check out this site for further reference.

Start out by finding every resource that is available to you. Go to http://www.hslda.org
Take a week or two and de-program your son! Unschool for a few days and get to know how he thinks. Spend time playing games, hiking, bicycling, swimming, cooking, reading together…. etc.
Then get together a few books and start out simple:
Do math for the first part of the day,
Then have him write a full page essay.
Then have him read for at least two hours.
    Check into http://www.robinsoncurriculum.com
You’ll be pleased with your choice to home-school.
