Advent Calendar

You know I have each year for advent missed the first couple days and never really started our advent till the first of December. As well as I never really do much more then read Bible verses. Which is fine, but my son is 8 and my daughter is 5 and it is time for the advent to be stepped up a notch and really help them to remember what this time of year is all about. I have a few things that we have purchased over the years that we start like 5 days before Christmas, but I really wanted to make the whole advent thing special this year.

So anyway, I scoured the Internet for a great site that would help me put together some great reading as well as some easy craft projects that we could do. Well, did I find a fantastic site for us all.

Teaching Mom has a site chuck full of ideas as well as links to other sites, pdf pages, calendars etc. that will keep us busy and learning about this time of year. I highly recommend you take a quick trip over to Teaching Mom's site and check it out for yourself!

Oh and in case you are like me and always forget when it starts…it starts on the 28th of November!
