Map Trek: Ancient World Atlas and Outline Maps of World History

When we study history it should not ever be overlooked that geography should exist right along side it. The problem is finding the right tools to do the job. Terri Johnson from Bramley Books and Knowledge Quest has put together a wonderful compilation of maps. If you have never seen her maps you are in for a wonderful surprise, they are beautiful. She has two sets of maps for the each location. One of the maps is in full color for the teacher to use, which has the answers. And the other is for the students mapping needs, which are waiting to be filled in with colors and solutions.

Some of the things she has included in her Map Trek: V1 Ancient World Atlas and Outline Maps of World History e-book is the fact that the table of contents is interactive, which is really helpful since it is a super packed 94-page map e-book. She has also included with her magnificent and colorful maps a great outline lesson plan for you to follow. Her outline lesson plans are broken down into 3 basic levels. Level A is for your 1st through 4th graders level B is you 5th through 8th graders and level C is for your 9th through 12th grades. Of course you know your child the best and can either go up or down a level depending on your child’s’ needs.

Some of the geographical regions covered in this book are the Red Sea Mediterranean Sea, Mesopotamia, Tigris River, Euphrates River, Persian Gulf, Caspian Sea, Nile River, Crete, India, Indian Ocean, Babylon, Egypt, Assyria, China, Yellow River, Yangtze River, Greece, Aegean Sea, Phoenicia, Africa, Sahara Desert, Dead Sea, Israel, Persia, Italy, Carthage, Roman Empire, Palestine, Britain and Europe.

If you are like me and have a great history program that you follow already that is in chronological order then Map Trek: V1 Ancient World Atlas and Outline Maps of World History By: Terri Johnson and Bramley books would be a great curriculum to add to your history study to make it a complete study. It is $14.95 and remember you can print what you want and leave the rest. So if you want to save a little on the color ink, don’t print the teacher maps. But for the price, I think it would be a great add to your current history program.
