Blackline Maps and the 50 States

I love using maps in my homeschooling. I know I am using Heart of Dakota and they pretty much have everything outlined for me in geography, but I still like to add in map skills whenever I can. I found a couple of sites that has some really great black-line maps for FREE and they print on your paper without all the added junk.

Oh, come on you know what I mean. You find a site that has maps for free and when you go to print the map it prints with a ton of advertisements all over it . Click and Learn prints nicely as well as they have some other map study guides available for purchase. Also 50 States.com has some great black-line maps of each of the 50 states. These maps also have the capital star on each map as well as some other major cities marked by a dot. All this is for Free!

And if you are doing state studies right now,  then 50states.com is a place to go for information on all 50 states. This has been a really great site for me to answer questions for my kids about the states. They have information from the capital, bird, colleges as well as elementary schools, flag, governor, museums, weather, zoos etc. Shoot, you could even start at 50states.com for planning a trip to a specific state.

Anyhow, if you are wanting to print out a nice black line map for your homeschool or do a specific state study, then check out Click and Learn and 50states.com.
